    THE total market capitalisation of Singapore stocks retreated 1.1 per cent to S$874.8 billion in April, snapping a 2-month growth streak as the Russia-Ukraine conflict continued to weigh on global markets.

    Of the 657 counters listed on the Singapore Exchange (SGX) in April, losers outnumbered gainers 259 to 227.

    Total market cap of counters listed on the SGX Mainboard fell 1 per cent to S$864.4 billion, while the Catalist-listed counters fell 4.5 per cent to S$10.4 billion.
