Singapore's market cap up for fourth straight month, led by gains in local banks

THE total value of Singapore stocks rose for the fourth consecutive month in February, boosted by gains from the three local banks as the stock market continued on the recovery path from the impact of Covid-19.
Total market capitalisation of the 687 stocks listed on the Singapore Exchange inched up by 0.6 per cent, or S$4.9 billion in February to S$843.1 billion, data compiled by The Business Times showed. Gainers outnumbered losers 273 to 246.
