A WIFE of a wealthy Singapore businessman was shopping in a popular tourist district in Barcelona, Spain on a mid-August afternoon last summer when in the vicinity, a deadly terror attack was unfolding. A driver rammed his van into crowds on the La Ramba Boulevard in the heart of the city.
An activated app on her mobile device that was provided by Singapore start-up and security and evacuation specialist SafePro Group had tracked the woman - she was a client - and immediately alerted her of the imminent threat. SafePro then deployed its "ground operatives" to escort her back to the safety of her hotel and shortly after, she departed the city safe and sound.
