THE total value of Singapore stocks fell in April, snapping a five-month rising streak, amid delistings that resulted in a reduction in the number of listed companies.

Total market capitalisation of SGX-listed counters slid 3.9 per cent or S$34.77 billion during the month to S$867.08 billion, data compiled by The Business Times showed. It comes as the number of companies listed on the Singapore Exchange (SGX) fell to 682 as at end-April, down from 688 a month earlier.
