Singtel associate Bharti Airtel raises US$3b in bonds, shares

SINGTEL'S Indian associate telco Bharti Airtel on Wednesday raised US$1 billion in foreign-currency convertible bonds (FCCB) and an additional US$2 billion through a share placement under a mega fundraising exercise.
To be listed on the Singapore Exchange, the 1.5 per cent bonds due 2025 are rated BBB-/RWN by Fitch Ratings.
