Singtel reports 4.5% rise in Q4 earnings to S$939m
Results helped by strong performance of core business; strong showing too from associates

HELPED by the strong performance of its core business and that of its associates, Singapore Telecommunications (Singtel) reported a strong fourth quarter which ended on March 31, with net profit of S$939 million, up 4.5 per cent from S$898 million in the year-ago quarter.
This came on the back of a 5.1 per cent growth in revenue to S$4.34 billion, up from S$4.13 billion one year ago. Earnings per share (EPS) for the quarter were 5.89 Singapore cents up 4.4 per cent from 5.64 cents in the year-ago quarter.
