Singtel's Q3 profits down 8.5 per cent on Airtel woes

TOUGHER market conditions in India did no favours for Singtel's third-quarter results, out on Thursday.
Absent a boon like the previous quarter's NetLink Trust divestment bonanza, earnings slid to S$890 million for the three months to Dec 31, 2017 - a drop of 8.5 per cent on the same period the previous year.
