Singtel's Q4 profit grows 1.8%, but India business is key drag

SINGAPORE Telecommunications' (Singtel) net profit for the fiscal fourth quarter increased by 1.8 per cent to S$963.3 million as weakness in India dragged down better performances in other key markets.
On a per-share basis, the telco's profit for the three months ended March 31 slipped to 5.9 Singapore cents from the year-ago 5.94 Singapore cents.
