SkillsFuture Month 2020

THIS year's SkillsFuture Month, taking place during the Covid-19 pandemic, will feature a series of mostly virtual and a few physical events.

The events will cater to Singaporeans at different stages of their careers and life, and especially mid-careerists, who have been affected by the economic impact of the novel coronavirus.

More than 80 community, education and industry partners are participating in this year's SkillsFuture Month, which is expected to reach out to more than 15,000 learners.

SkillsFuture Month runs till Aug 16. Here are some of the key activities:

SSG X WSG Jobs and Skills Fair24-28 July

A continuation of the series of SGUnited Jobs and Skills Fairs, this fair will have virtual activities including online career coaching, one-on-one skills and training advisory sessions, as well as live sessions and sectoral webinars with training providers, industry partners and employers.

There will also be physical activities - including onsite and virtual services for individuals to learn more about training options available for their needs - at the Lifelong Learning Institute from July 24-26.

SkillsFuture@NTU 29 July

The event takes place virtually this year. It will feature 38 online workshops covering topics such as health, food sustainability, technological advances and soft skills adaptations.

SkillsFuture@CDC - The Future of You 10-16 August

A week of virtual and edutainment programmes, covering employability skills and lifelong learning topics. Participants can look forward to learning from experts on job-search skills, personal wellness and industry insights. They will also be guided to resources for skills upgrading.

SkillsFuture Work-Study Fair 12 August

Hosted by Singapore Polytechnic, the virtual fair will take place on a microsite and feature work-study opportunities for fresh and recent graduates. Senior Minister of State for Trade and Industry and Education Chee Hong Tat will be the guest-of-honour at the event.
