SMEs get help in demand side of business
99%SME campaign to use dedicated website, support videos, pledges to help drive business
Singapore
GIVEN that most policies aimed at small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are supply-side driven, Singapore Telecommunications (Singtel) and DBS Bank have decided to up the ante with their nationwide campaign, 99%SME, and address SME needs on both the supply and demand side.
SMEs have been provided with a lot of help to increase their productivity and manage their costs but engagement with SMEs has surfaced that they are more concerned about generating demand in the midst of an uncertain global economy, challenging operating environment, and growing pervasiveness of online businesses, said Bill Chang, chief executive officer, group enterprise, at Singtel.
