Soilbuild unit bags S$128.7m construction contract in Myanmar

A UNIT of Soilbuild Construction Group has won a construction contract worth US$95.0 million or around S$128.7 million from a developer in Myanmar, the mainboard-listed group said in a Singapore Exchange filing on Monday.
It added that the subsidiary, Soilbuild (Myanmar) Company, will be the main contractor for the project by United GP Development.
The contract was for the construction and completion of the main building and superstructure works for a proposed "26½-storey serviced apartment and the proposed 26½ storey condominium" at Kabaraye Pagoda Road, Bahan Township, Yangon, Soilbuild said in its statement.
It said that it expects the project to start in the second quarter of 2016 and be completed in the third quarter of 2018.
