Those that stand out amid the bleakness are firms that have diversified into investment properties and overseas markets

THE FTSE index tracking Singapore property developers has underperformed the benchmark Straits Times Index 4.8 per cent to 5.5 per cent year-to-date (as at Nov 24) - a bleak reflection of the cheerless real estate market.
But closer scrutiny shows very varied stock price performances among Singapore developers, with some outdoing the rest by astonishing margins, while others have plunged tragically.
