SPH and StarHub announce free local data access to SPH mobile apps
Singapore
SINGAPORE Press Holdings and StarHub have jointly announced that, starting Friday, all existing and new StarHub Mobile Postpaid customers will have free local data access to nine SPH mobile apps for one year.
The apps are namely AsiaOne, Berita Harian, Lianhe Wanbao, Lianhe Zaobao, The Business Times, The Straits Times, ONE FM91.3, Kiss92, and UFM100.3. Other apps offered by SPH will be added in the coming months.
This collaboration is part of the memorandum of understanding signed between SPH and StarHub in March. Under the MOU, the two companies will collaborate in the areas of advertising sales, creation and carriage of content, data analytics, and marketing.
SPH deputy chief executive officer Anthony Tan said the company is thankful for the partnership with StarHub, and seeks to save users from having to worry about data caps while using the apps.
He continued: "Following the launch of the recent Zaobao Keywords news programme on StarHub TV, we look forward to another successful partnership with this latest initiative."
In agreement, Jeannie Ong, StarHub's chief strategic partnership officer, remarked that the collaboration "will bring SPH's wealth of content closer to our Mobile Postpaid customers".
"We definitely mean business, and will have more good news in the pipeline for consumers in Singapore," she added.
All SPH mobile apps are available for download via Apple Store or Google Play on mobile devices.
The Zaobao Keywords news programme debuted on StarHub's E City channel on July 4.
