SINGAPORE Press Holdings (SPH) has launched a call for proposals for short-form video content from all media or production companies.
The move is aimed at supporting the local creative community affected by the Covid-19 disruptions, the media and property group said on Friday.
The call for proposals is in partnership with the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) under the Public Service Content (PSC) Fund.
SPH has invited companies to submit their proposals for short-form video content for a chance to receive funding for production.
The proposals must be for videos which are at least 10 minutes long and not exceed the PG-13 classification in accordance with the Content Code for over-the-top, video-on-demand and niche services.
Those who can apply for the fund include Singapore-registered media/production companies with a proven track record in local content production over the last three years. Companies which are adopters of the Tripartite Standard on the Procurement of Services from Media Freelancers can also apply.

The call for proposals starts Friday and closes on June 5.
"As a commissioning partner under IMDA's PSC Fund, SPH is committed to collaborating with local production companies to co-produce engaging and entertaining content for its audience, leveraging its multi-channel platforms," SPH - which publishes The Business Times - said.
The PSC Fund was launched on April 14 to create more production projects and support media professionals and freelancers during the Covid-19 situation.
