SPH unveils new organisational structure
Move in response to rapid changes in media industry
SINGAPORE Press Holdings (SPH) has created a new organisational structure for all its newsroom divisions under a comprehensive restructuring process to achieve efficiencies and reduce costs, chief executive officer Alan Chan said in an internal staff memo yesterday.
"The rapid changes in the media industry have been gathering speed, and are being driven by structural shifts in reader preferences, advertiser spending and the competitive landscape," he wrote.
"We have responded to these changes by embarking on an organisational review to build a leaner, more agile and resilient organisation."
