THE Singapore equity market shrank for the fifth straight month in September to close out the worst quarter for stocks in almost four years, and analysts are expecting more bumps in the road ahead.
The total market capitalisation of Singapore-listed stocks slipped by 2.8 per cent, or S$23.7 billion, to S$829.8 billion as at end-September compared to a month ago, according to data compiled by The Business Times.
