SINGAPORE has fallen three spots to seventh place in Forbes' 2013 list of best countries for business, weighed down by a poor-performing stock market this year and a continued low ranking in personal freedom.
While it came in tops in metrics such as trade freedom, investor protection, anti-corruption measures and being relatively free of the burdens of red tape and taxes, it ranked 60th for market performance and 91st for personal freedom in a field of 145 countries and territories.
