Sports Hub slapped with penalties for not meeting standards
Government tracks deliverables such as number of sporting events each year; sports industry contributed S$1.7b to 2018 GDP

FINANCIAL penalties have been imposed on the Singapore Sports Hub over unmet standards, the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth's Senior Parliamentary Secretary Baey Yam Keng said in Parliament on Friday.
The SportsHub Private Limited (SHPL) is the consortium which runs the S$1.33 billion facility.
It consisted of four partners - Global Spectrum Pico, Dragages Singapore, DTZ Facilities and Engineering and InfraRed Capital Partners, the majority equity partner.
