ST Engg posts $580.8m full-year profit

SINGAPORE Technologies Engineering chalked up a net profit of $580.83 million for the 12 months ended Dec 31, 2013, marginally higher than the $576.18 million earned in the previous financial year.

Revenue inched up 4 per cent to $6.63 billion, lifted partly by stronger contributions from the marine business while revenues for the other sectors were mostly comparable to FY2012.

The aerospace sector accounted for the bulk of revenue with 31 per cent, while the electronics sector and land systems sectors contributed 25 per cent and 22 per cent respectively. The marine sector contributed 19 per cent.
