SINGAPORE Technologies Engineering's (ST Engg) US shipyard has won a contract to build a liquefied natural gas bunkering barge, in yet another sign of the maritime and bunkering industries gearing up to meet sulphur caps imposed on ship fuels.
ST Engg on Friday said that Quality Liquefied Natural Gas Transport LLC (Q-LNG) had contracted VT Halter Marine Inc for engineering services to complete the detailed functional design for the development and construction of one LNG bunkering articulated tug and barge (ATB) unit.
