ST Engineering shuffles leadership team
SINGAPORE Technologies Engineering (ST Engineering) is making changes to its leadership team, it said in a release to Singapore Exchange on Monday.
Lee Fook Sun will step down as president of ST Electronics from Jan 1, 2017, to focus on his other roles as deputy chief executive and president of the group's defence business. Mr Lee joined ST Electronics in December 2000 and was appointed its president in August 2009.
The current president of ST Kinetics, Ravinder Singh, has been appointed president-designate of ST Electronics. He will take over as president of ST Electronics from Jan 1 and remain president of ST Kinetics until April next year.
Mr Singh joined the group in August 2014 as deputy president (corporate & market development) in ST Electronics before assuming his role in ST Kinetics in March 2015.
Meanwhile, Lee Shiang Long, currently president of defence business at ST Kinetics and deputy chief technology officer of ST Engineering, has been appointed president-designate of ST Kinetics. He will assume the role of president when Mr Singh relinquishes the position. Mr Lee Shiang Long joined ST Kinetics in March this year from the Institute of Infocomm Research (I2R) at A*Star (Agency for Science Technology and Research).
President and CEO Vincent Chong said: "These changes are part of our continuous efforts to strengthen the leadership bench of the group. The leadership team will continue to build on the strengths of the group and the domain expertise of the business sectors to pursue profitable growth."
