ST Engineering's Q4 earnings rise 21% to S$170.4m

SINGAPORE Technologies Engineering (ST Engg) recorded a fourth-quarter net profit growth of 21 per cent to S$170.4 million from S$140.8 million a year ago.
Revenue for the three months ended Dec 31 grew 2.3 per cent to S$1.82 billion, from S$1.78 billion for the previous corresponding period. The company's profit before tax (PBT) grew 10 per cent year-on-year to S$183.3 million from S$166.6 million for the quarter.
ST Engg has proposed a final dividend of 10 Singapore cents per share. Together with the interim dividend of five Singapore cents per share that it distributed last August 2016, the total for FY2016 is 15 Singapore cents per share, same as last year.
