Regional markets stage mixed showing despite green light for Shenzhen-Hong Kong stock trading link
IT was a no-brainer to predict the direction of the local bourse on Wednesday - overnight dips on Wall Street and understandable caution ahead of the release of key market-shifting news signalled that stocks would drop.
Fall it did, with the key Straits Times Index (STI) losing 15.45 points or 0.5 per cent to end the day at 2,843.35.
