Stamford Tyres' former chairman dies aged 91
STAMFORD Tyres Corporation announced on Monday the passing of former chairman and senior adviser Chua Kim Yeow, 91, on Sunday.
"The Board and Management of Stamford Tyres would like to extend their deepest condolences to the family of the late Mr Chua and express their heartfelt appreciation for Mr Chua's invaluable counsel and guidance to the Stamford Tyres Group," it said.
The late Mr Chua served as chairman of the group from 1991 to 1994. Upon his retirement, he was re-appointed as independent director and non-executive chairman of the group in 2000. He retired from all posts in August 2012 but stayed on as senior adviser until August this year.
