StanChart appoints new CEO for Indonesia
STANDARD Chartered has appointed Shee Tse Koon as its chief executive officer for Indonesia, replacing Tom Aker, who is retiring after 20 years.
Mr Shee, a Singaporean aged 44, took charge yesterday. He was previously head of governance for the bank's West region, comprising Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the Americas.
In his new role, he will be responsible for growing the bank's Indonesia operations. He said: "The fundamentals of Indonesia are very robust in terms of underlying drivers of economic growth, the demographics of the country and natural resources."
