ROBOTS transporting dirty linen from guest rooms to a laundry collection point could soon become a common sight in hotels here, following a new partnership by StarHub and ST Kinetics that will introduce Aethon TUG robots to hotels to help streamline their laundry processes.
Both companies said on Monday that for a start, the TUG robots will be deployed in three hotels - Capri By Frasers Changi City Point, Four Points by Sheraton and Grand Copthorne Waterfront - in 2018.
A StarHub spokeswoman told The Business Times that several other hotels have also expressed "strong interest" in the solution.
