StarHub to cease cable services; customers to switch to fibre networks

STARHUB is pulling the plug on its cable services, the pay-television and broadband provider has said.
Its customers must move to fibre networks by mid-2019, with cable services set to end on June 30, according to an announcement on Thursday.
Analysts said the telco is likely to feel an immediate pinch - but could otherwise reap cost savings, and even lift value in the long run.
