[SINGAPORE] StarHub posted a net profit of S$26.2 million for its third quarter ended Sep 30, down 35.3 per cent from S$40.4 million in the previous corresponding period.
Net profit for the nine-month period was down 39.6 per cent year on year at S$74.1 million, from S$122.5 million.
This was attributed to lower gross profit from segments with revenue decline, higher depreciation and amortisation, a one-off forfeiture payment of S$14.1 million to the Infocomm Media Development Authority, and the absence of a non-recurring Dare+-related provision of S$6 million, the telco said on Friday (Nov 14).
The lower profit was partially offset by a higher share of profits from joint ventures and lower tax expenses.
Revenue for Q3 2025 fell 4.3 per cent to S$550.3 million, from S$575.2 million in previously. For the nine-month period, revenue fell slightly by 0.1 per cent to S$1.679 billion, from S$1.68 billion in the year-ago period.
In 9M 2025, the regional enterprise, cybersecurity and broadband segments experienced year-on-year growth, but this was offset by lower revenue contributions from the mobile and entertainment segments.

Q3 mobile revenue declined 10.1 per cent to S$128.9 million, from S$143.3 million in the year-ago period.
Mobile post-paid and pre-paid average revenue per user (Arpu) fell to S$22 in Q3, from S$23 in Q3 2024, due to declines in roaming, international direct dialling, value-added services and excess data usage revenues.
It was, however, an increase from S$20 in the previous quarter, due to a one-time consolidation of inactive pre-paid subscribers in line with the telco’s migration to a new IT stack.
Broadband revenue for Q3 was down 4.4 per cent at S$60.4 million, from S$63.2 million previously. Arpu in this segment also declined, from S$35 in Q3 2024 to S$34 in Q3 2025. The company attributed this to a one-time catch-up reallocation from the broadband segment to the entertainment segment.
However, broadband revenue for the nine-month period grew 1.4 per cent year on year to S$188.8 million, from S$186.1 million. This was driven by stronger subscription revenue from higher-bandwidth plan take-ups, but it was offset by the reallocation.
Entertainment revenue for Q3 slid 4.3 per cent to S$49.9 million, from S$52.1 million previously.
Enterprise revenue fell 7.8 per cent to S$145.7 million, from S$158 million previously. For the nine-month period, however, it rose 1.5 per cent year on year to S$441.7 million from S$435.3 million, due to higher contributions from managed services.
Shares of StarHub closed at S$1.16, down S$0.01 or 0.9 per cent, on Thursday.
