STATS ChipPAC Q3 net up at US$13.3m

Net revenue slips to US$400.8m from US$408.3m a year ago

    SEMICONDUCTOR packaging and test services company STATS ChipPAC has posted a third-quarter net profit of US$13.3 million (one US cent per share), up from US$3.2 million in the year-ago quarter.

    The year-ago quarter included a goodwill impairment of US$24.1 million and an equipment impairment of US$3.8 million.

    The third quarter this year recorded a final insurance compensation of US$19.6 million relating to business disruption caused by floods in Thailand. This compares with the flood-related settlement of US$26.7 million for the year-ago quarter.
