STATSChipPAC served writ of summons for infringement of patents
STATSChipPAC has been served a writ of summons by ERS Electronic GMBH with the claim that STATSChipPAC has infringed its patents relating to debonder machines used in the wafer level package assembly process.
The company has sought legal advice and is of the opinion that the claim is groundless and without merit and intends to take all necessary steps to vigorously defend the claim, including but not limited to, a counterclaim for revocation of the patents which the company has been alleged to infringe, said STATSChipPAC on Tuesday.
It added that it does not expect the action to have a material financial impact on the company.
