SINGAPORE stocks turned in a mixed session on a lacklustre Thursday, with more losers than gainers despite gains in the blue-chip benchmark.

The Straits Times Index opened in positive territory, took a mid-day breather before sprinting for the finish line near the close to edge higher by 0.32 per cent, or 10.28 points, to finish the day at 3,234.31.

The index was up, but losers outnumbered gainers 186 to 179.
