Stock market trading hit by system glitch

SOME traders in the local stock market found their trading disrupted on Monday morning by a data connectivity glitch in technology provider Fidelity National Information Systems (FIS)'s SunGard system.

These trading representatives (TRs) were from brokerages who are customers of FIS. They complained that when trading opened at 9am, many found themselves unable to execute orders because of intermittent data appearing on their screens.
