THE following companies saw new developments that may affect trading of their securities on Wednesday (Jan 4):

Ara US Hospitality Trust (Ara H-Trust): The stapled group is proposing to acquire a 119-room Hilton-branded hotel in Colorado Springs, US, for US$29 million. This will be funded entirely using net proceeds from its sale of five Hyatt Place properties in Q3 2022, and the proposed transaction is expected to be yield accretive, said its managers on Wednesday. Stapled securities of Ara H-Trust closed unchanged on Tuesday at US$0.35.

Comba Telecom: The telecommunications solutions provider will make its trading debut on the Singapore Exchange (SGX) at 9 am on Wednesday. This secondary listing is expected to give the company access to the securities market in Singapore and broaden its shareholder base. Its Hong Kong counter, which is included in the Hang Seng Composite Small Cap Index, closed on Tuesday up HK$0.04 or 3 per cent at HK$1.38.
