Stocks to watch: China Everbright Water, BRC Asia, USP Group

THE following companies saw new developments that may affect trading of their securities on Wednesday (Nov 22):
China Everbright Water : The group, as part of a consortium, is developing a project in China’s Guangdong province to treat agricultural waste and turn it into biogas and organic fertiliser. China Everbright Water on Tuesday said the project will require an estimated total investment of 50 million yuan (S$9.4 million). The group previously focused on water treatment, with such projects in cities including Qingdao. Its shares closed flat at S$0.20, before the news.
BRC Asia : The steel solutions provider’s net profit fell 2 per cent to S$49.5 million for its second half ended Sep 30, from S$50.4 million in the same period a year earlier. The company nonetheless said it had been on a steady recovery path over the last six months, with gradually normalising activity levels of local construction projects. Shares of BRC Asia closed flat at S$1.65 on Tuesday, before the results were released.
