    THE following companies saw new developments that may affect trading of their securities on Tuesday (Oct 24):

    China Kangda Food Company : The food processing group received a winding-up petition filed with the High Court of Hong Kong over an alleged failure to repay loans of HK$39 million (S$6.8 million). China Kangda said it is in the process of seeking legal advice, and had been in active negotiations with the petitioner for an amicable settlement. Shares of China Kangda ended flat at S$0.029 on Monday, before the announcement.

    Noontalk Media : The media company’s shareholders on Monday gave their full approval for its planned share repurchase, at the company’s extraordinary general meeting. All resolutions proposed at the annual general meeting held on the same day, which include the reappointment of its board members and employee share options, also garnered 100 per cent support from shareholders. Shares of Noontalk closed unchanged at S$0.098, prior to the announcement.
