THE following companies saw new developments that may affect trading of their securities on Friday (Jan 27):
Frasers Centrepoint Trust (FCT) , Frasers Property : The real estate investment trust (Reit) and real estate management company are jointly acquiring a 50 per cent stake in suburban mall Nex for S$652.5 million. Separately, FCT reported that shopper traffic and tenant sales have continued to grow across its portfolio for the first quarter of FY2023. Prior to the announcements on Thursday, units of FCT closed up 0.9 per cent or S$0.20 at S$2.20, while shares of Frasers Property closed at S$0.925, up 1.1 per cent or S$0.10.
Mapletree Industrial Trust (MIT) : The Reit’s distribution per unit (DPU) fell 2.9 per cent year on year to 3.39 Singapore cents for the third quarter of FY2022/2023 ended Dec 31, 2022, from 3.49 Singapore cents. The DPU was up (*see amendment note) 0.9 per cent from the second quarter, it said in a bourse filing on Thursday. Units of MIT closed at S$2.39, up 0.8 per cent or S$0.20, before the announcement.
