THE following companies saw new developments that may affect trading of their securities on Friday (Jan 26):
Frasers Centrepoint Trust (FCT), Frasers Property : FCT’s private placement to raise S$200 million has closed at the issue price of S$2.18 per new unit. The placement was 2.5 times covered, the manager said on Friday. Proceeds from the placement will be used to partially fund the real estate investment trust’s (Reit) acquisition of Frasers Property’s 24.5 per cent stake in retail mall Nex. FCT’s units will resume trading on Friday following a halt called on Thursday. Its counter last closed at S$2.28 on Jan 24, before the halt called on Thursday. Frasers Property closed flat at S$0.94 on Thursday.
Mapletree Industrial Trust (MIT): Its distribution per unit (DPU) fell 0.9 per cent to S$0.0336 for its third quarter ended Dec 31 on an enlarged unit base, down from S$0.0339 in the year-ago period. Units of MIT closed at S$2.44 on Thursday, down 1.2 per cent or S$0.03, before the news.
