    THE following companies saw new developments that may affect trading of their securities on Thursday (May 9): 

    Frasers Hospitality Trust (FHT): It recorded a 13.7 per cent fall in distribution per stapled security (DPS) to S$0.01091 for its first half year ended Mar 31, 2024, from S$0.012649 in the corresponding year-ago period. This came as the trust incurred higher finance costs, said the manager on Thursday. FHT’s gross revenue for H1 grew 1.7 per cent to S$63.3 million, while net property income fell 1.3 per cent to S$44.7 million from S$45.2 million. The counter closed flat at S$0.46 on Wednesday.

    AEM Holdings : The semiconductor equipment maker on Wednesday posted an 85 per cent fall in net profit to S$2.4 million for the first quarter of FY2024 ended Mar 30, from S$15.6 million in the same period a year ago. This came amid a decline in revenue and the group noting that the semiconductor industry is still undergoing a prolonged cyclical downturn. Shares of AEM rose 0.4 per cent or S$0.01 to close at S$2.32 on Wednesday.
