Stocks to watch: Genting Singapore, Sembcorp, MLT, Sats, Frasers Property

THE following companies saw new developments that may affect trading of their securities on Tuesday (Nov 14):
Genting Singapore : The company on Friday posted a net profit of S$216.3 million for the third quarter ended September, up 59 per cent from S$135.8 million a year earlier. Revenue was up 33 per cent to S$689.9 million, from S$519.7 million. Shares of Genting closed at S$0.85, down S$0.015 or 1.7 per cent, before the results release.
Sembcorp Industries : The group will be acquiring majority interests in various subsidiaries of Vietnam’s Gelex Group Joint Stock Company for a maximum equity consideration of about S$218 million to boost its renewables portfolio. Shares of Sembcorp closed at S$5.05 on Friday, down S$0.07 or 1.4 per cent, before the announcement.
