THE following companies saw new developments that may affect trading of their securities on Friday (Dec 9):
Keppel Corporation , Sembcorp Marine (Sembmarine) : Keppel Corp’s shareholders voted overwhelmingly for the merger of its offshore and marine unit with Sembmarine, with 99.96 per cent of votes cast – or some 562.8 million votes – for the proposal. Shares of Keppel ended Thursday up 0.5 per cent or S$0.04 at S$7.47, while Sembmarine shares ended the day flat at S$0.142 prior to the announcement.
Separately, Keppel DHCS – a unit of Keppel Corp’s subsidiary Keppel Infrastructure, has upped its stake in a joint venture for a district cooling system in Bangkok to 42 per cent in an eight million baht (S$311,020) deal.
