Stocks to watch: Oxley, Dasin Retail Trust, LHN, NoonTalk

    THE following companies saw new developments that may affect trading of their securities on Tuesday (Aug 22):

    Oxley : The property developer issued a profit guidance statement on Monday, expecting a net loss for its second half-year and for the full financial year ended Jun 30, 2023, due to higher finance costs and a drop in revenue. Details of the company’s FY2023 financial performance will be released along with the results announcement, expected on or before Aug 29. Before the news, shares of Oxley closed down 2.5 per cent or S$0.003 at S$0.117.

    Dasin Retail Trust : The Singapore Exchange Regulation (SGX RegCo) issued a “trade with caution” alert for Dasin Retail Trust on Monday, as its trading activity review revealed that an individual seemed to be buying units of the China retail property trust to maintain the price. Initial findings from SGX RegCo suggested that the individual may be connected to Dasin. Units of Dasin Retail Trust closed 6.9 per cent or S$0.006 higher at S$0.093, before the alert. 

    LHN Limited : The voluntary conditional general offer made by Milkyway Chemical to take over LHN’s logistics and transportation arm, LHN Logistics , has been declared unconditional on Monday evening. The closing date of the offer has been extended to Sep 27 from Sep 13. The offeror intends to exercise its right of compulsory acquisition, following which LHN Logistics will be delisted from the Catalist board of the Singapore Exchange. Prior to the announcement, shares of LHN Limited closed flat at S$0.33, while shares of LHN Logistics closed up 2.2 per cent or S$0.005 at S$0.23.

    NoonTalk Media : The Catalist-listed media entertainment company announced on Monday that its net loss for the second half of FY2023 ended Jun 30 stood at S$1.1 million, from a net profit of S$734,377 in the corresponding year-ago period. No dividend has been declared or recommended for the fiscal year due to the loss. Shares of NoonTalk closed flat at S$0.11, before the results announcement.

    Trading halt: Mainboard-listed equipment manufacturer GRP requested a trading halt with immediate effect on Tuesday morning, pending the release of an announcement. The counter closed flat at S$0.081 on Monday.
