THE following companies saw new developments that may affect trading of their securities on Monday (Nov 20):
Sats : The in-flight caterer and ground handler Sats has established a US$3 billion multi-currency debt issuance programme. Net proceeds will go towards refinancing existing debts, financing potential acquisitions and investments, and meeting working capital, capital expenditure needs, and other corporate purposes. Prior to the announcement, Sats shares closed Friday down 0.7 per cent or S$0.02 to S$2.71.
Singtel : Its Australian unit Optus’ chief executive, Kelly Bayer Rosmarin, has resigned after the company experienced a network-wide outage on Nov 8. Singtel on Monday announced Optus’ current chief financial officer Michael Venter to assume the role of interim CEO, as the group searches for Rosmarin’s replacement. Shares of Singtel ended S$0.002 or 0.1 per cent higher at S$2.33 last Friday.
