THE following companies saw new developments that may affect trading of their securities on Wednesday (Aug 30):
Sembcorp Industries : The energy company and its longstanding partner Becamax announced on Tuesday that they have received approvals to develop four new industrial parks in Vietnam. This will bring the total number of Vietnam-Singapore industrial parks in Sembcorp’s portfolio to 17, making it the largest collaboration between the two countries. The company also unveiled plans for 10 more prospective parks. Shares of Sembcorp closed at S$5.47, down S$0.01 or 0.2 per cent before the news.
IHH Healthcare : The Malaysian hospital operator reported on Tuesday a 51 per cent drop in net profit to RM301.8 million (S$87.9 million) in the second quarter ended Jun 30, 2023, from RM612.1 million in the year-earlier period.
