THE following companies saw new developments that may affect trading of their securities on Wednesday (Nov 8):
Singapore Airlines (SIA): The national carrier posted a net profit of S$1.4 billion for the first six months of its financial year ended Sep 30, up 55.4 per cent from S$926.9 million a year earlier. This came as revenue rose 8.9 per cent to S$9.2 billion from S$8.4 billion last year. Shares of SIA closed 1.4 per cent or S$0.09 lower at S$6.24 on Tuesday, before the results were released.
Seatrium : The offshore and marine group posted a net order book of S$17.7 billion as at Sep 30, 148.9 per cent higher than the S$7.1 billion it reported a year earlier. Despite operational and financial performance improving, the group expects to make a net loss for FY2023. Shares of Seatrium closed up 0.9 per cent, or S$0.001, at S$0.113 on Tuesday.
