Stocks to watch: SIAEC, Yangzijiang Shipbuilding, KIT, AA Reit, Manulife US Reit
THE following companies saw new developments that may affect trading of their securities on Friday (Nov 3):
SIA Engineering Company (SIAEC): The aircraft maintenance provider recorded an 82.6 per cent increase in profit to S$59.3 million for the six months ended Sep 30. Revenue rose 41.9 per cent to nearly S$514 million on the back of a rebound in the travel sector, with flight activities growing post-pandemic, the group said on Thursday. Shares of SIAEC closed at S$2.29 on Thursday, up 0.9 per cent or S$0.02, before the announcement.
Yangzijiang Shipbuilding : The shipbuilder said on Thursday it obtained US$770 million in order wins for the third quarter of its 2023 financial year. This brought the total order wins for the first nine months of the current financial year to US$6.54 billion, more than double its US$3 billion target for the whole financial year. Yangzijiang shares rose 3.5 per cent or S$0.05 to close at S$1.49 on Thursday, before the announcement.
