Stocks to watch: UOL, Sembmarine, Golden Agri-Resources, Sheng Siong, Golden Energy and Resources

THE following companies saw new developments that may affect trading of their securities on Tuesday (Feb 28):
UOL Group : The property and hospitality company announced on Monday a 44 per cent fall in net profit to S$120.8 million for the second half of the year ended December 2022. However, full year earnings were still up 60 per cent to S$491.9 million. Its board proposed a first and final dividend of S$0.15 per ordinary share, along with a special cash dividend of S$0.03 per ordinary share. Shares of UOL ended at S$6.76, down 0.4 per cent or S$0.03 on Monday before the news.
Sembcorp Marine (Sembmarine) : The offshore and marine company posted on Monday a significantly narrower net loss of S$118.3 million for the second half of 2022, compared to the loss of S$523.3 million the previous year. The company attributed this to better performance from floater and offshore platform projects, along with stronger contributions from its repairs and upgrades business, which was in turn offset by lower grant income and higher tax expenses. Shares of Sembmarine ended S$0.127, down 0.8 per cent or S$0.001 on Monday before the announcement.
