THE following companies saw new developments that may affect trading of their securities on Tuesday (Nov 21):
Vertex Technology Acquisition Corporation (VTAC): The special purpose acquisition company (Spac) announced on Tuesday that it will will issue 600,000 new shares at S$5 apiece to private investment in public equity (Pipe) investors to raise some S$3 million in gross proceeds. Under its special bonus scheme, 0.1 new VTAC shares will also be issued to Pipe investors for every base Pipe share subscribed for, upon completion of the Spac’s proposed business combination with 17Live. VTAC shares ended Monday S$0.02 or 0.4 per cent higher at S$4.97.
Meta Health : The healthcare technology company is proposing to sell its metal business in Suzhou for 17.2 million yuan (S$3.2 million), while transferring 30.7 million yuan of debt owed by the subsidiary to the group, to its purchaser. On Tuesday, Meta Health said the deal will allow it to exit completely from its loss-making metal business. Shares of Meta Health were unchanged at S$0.008 at Monday’s close.
