THE following companies saw new developments that may affect trading of their securities on Wednesday (Feb 22):
Wilmar International : The agribusiness group posted an 8.6 per cent rise in net profit to US$1.2 billion for its second half ended Dec 31, 2022, up from US$1.1 billion in the same period a year prior. All its key business segments reported an increase in profits, along with higher contributions from associates and joint ventures, and lower tax rates, Wilmar said on Tuesday (Feb 21). Shares of the group dipped 0.5 per cent or S$0.02 to S$3.98, before the announcement.
Singapore Airlines (SIA): The national airline posted record operating profits for its third quarter ended Dec 31, rising 11.4 per cent to S$755 million, from S$678 million in the second quarter. This came on the back of robust demand for air travel across its network, SIA said on Tuesday. The counter closed flat at S$5.78, prior to the announcement.
