Straco Q2 profit falls 11.6% on lower revenue, forex losses
Shanghai Ocean Aquarium and Underwater World Xiamen revenue lower; partial offset by Singapore Flyer

WEIGHED down by currency exchange losses and lower revenue, Straco Corp turned in an 11.6 per cent slide in net profit to S$9.25 million for the second quarter ended June 30, as the yuan weakened against the Singapore dollar.
Stripping out exchange differences, group profit would have declined some 6.4 per cent instead. The period also saw higher staff cost.
