Straco Q4 net dips 2% as Xiamen revenue hit by typhoons
Overall visits to all attractions fall 2.6 per cent to 0.915 million visitors
Singapore
MAINBOARD-LISTED tourist attractions operator Straco Corporation chalked up a near 2 per cent year-on- year decline in net profit to S$6.14 million for the three months ended Dec 31, 2016, on the back of lower contributions from Underwater World Xiamen (UWX) and Straco Leisure, which operates the Singapore Flyer.
Revenue for the quarter under review fell 2.5 per cent year-on-year to S$23.24 million, mainly due to the lower revenue from UWX, even as higher revenue was achieved by Shanghai Ocean Aquarium (SOA), Lixing Cable Car and Straco Leisure.
